Better Rest Solutions to Donate $ 5 to the American Sleep Apnea Association for Every SoClean® 2 Purchased from April 15 – May 15

Boston, MA (PRWEB) April 15, 2014

Sleep Apnea Awareness Day takes place annually on April 18, marking a significant day in the history of treatment for obstructive sleep apnea. On April 18, 1981, Professor Colin Sullivan, inventor of the Continuous Positive Air Pressure (CPAP) machine, published the results of a study that demonstrated the effectiveness of CPAP therapy for sleep apnea sufferers and revolutionized treatment of this disorder.

More than 18 million Americans have been diagnosed with sleep apnea, a disorder that causes people to stop breathing in their sleep and, if untreated, can lead to serious health complications including heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke and diabetes.

Better Rest Solutions created the SoClean® 2 to make it easy for CPAP users to safely and naturally clean and sanitize their equipment, effectively removing 99.9% of CPAP mold, bacteria and viruses.

The ASAA is a nonprofit organization that advocates for the interests of patients who are affected by sleep apnea, making it the ideal recipient of Better Rest Solutions’ donations.

“We understand first hand the health issues associated with sleep apnea, as many of us at Better Rest Solutions have dealt with the effects of sleep apnea ourselves either directly or indirectly,” said Mike Schmidt, President, Better Rest Solutions. “We are excited to contribute to the ASAA in recognition of Sleep Apnea Awareness Day.”

About Better Rest Solutions

Better Rest Solutions was founded in July 2011 in Uxbridge, Massachusetts, with the goal of improving the health and quality of life of those who suffer from obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and other sleep disorders.

Founder Mike Schmidt and SoClean® 2 creator Tim Leyva both have personal experience with sleep apnea. As such, they recognized the challenges faced by CPAP users and began to understand how failure to properly clean CPAP equipment could interfere with effective CPAP therapy.

With so many suffering from OSA and many more being diagnosed every day, Better Rest Solutions remains committed to meeting OSA sufferers’ ever-growing needs. This commitment is what led to the development of the SoClean® 2, a first-of-its-kind product that has revolutionized CPAP cleaning and sanitizing.
