The event will be from 6:00pm-7:30pm at LoLo’s Chicken and Waffles in Scottsdale on Jan. 27th. Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich will open the event with opening words after which Carl Eller will follow by talking about the Retired Players Association and helping players around the league with medical issues and legal counsel. After Mr. Eller, Dr. Patricio Reyes MD, who is the chief neurologist for the US military and developed the first drug ever to help with the effects of Alzheimer’s, be speaking concussions and sleep apnea in sports. President Ronald Reagan selected him as the greatest scientist of the 21st century.

David Gergen, Sleep Apnea & Dental Director for the Living Heart Foundation and NFLPA HOPE Program and President of Pro Player Health Alliance, will follow Dr. Reyes and speak about oral appliance therapy as a treatment option for sleep apnea. Roy Green, who is a Marketing Director in Pro Player Health Alliance, will give a quick synopsis of his health situation and how his life has greatly improved since being treated for sleep apnea with an oral appliance. The dinner will be provided to marquee guests such as high profile athletes, doctors and city officials and sponsored by Gergen’s Orthodontic Lab, RemZzzs Mask Liners and Munro Realty. ABOUT DAVID GERGEN

As President of Pro Player Health Alliance, he has been a nationally respected dental lab technician for over 25 years. He received the award for “The Finest Orthodontic Technician in the Country” given by Columbus Dental in 1986. He also has been appointed chair of the dental wing of the American Sleep and Breathing Academy, a national interdisciplinary academy dedicated to sleep training and education. He has worked for some of the pioneers in the orthodontic and sleep dentistry fields. One of his proudest achievements is receiving The National Leadership award for Arizona Small Businessman of the Year in 2004.
