Nashville, TN (PRWEB) February 17, 2015

The Sleep Apnea Institute (SAI) is holding a special seminar this month to discuss obstructive sleep apnea and a new treatment for sleep apnea patients, led by Jack Coleman, Jr., M.D. According to the National Sleep Foundation, 18 million Americans are currently living with sleep apnea but only 20 percent are diagnosed.

The Medical Director of the Sleep Apnea Institute, Dr. Coleman, earned his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati. He also completed his internship and general surgery residency at this institution. Moving to Pennsylvania to fine-tune his skills, Dr. Coleman became an otolaryngology resident at the University of Pittsburgh Eye and Ear Hospital. Dr. Coleman’s credentials include the following:

    Board Certified in Otolaryngology
Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery
Fellow of the American College of Surgeons
A diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners
    Published medical book author

The seminar will highlight sleep apnea and how an alternative treatment using heat therapy is helping patients to lose their CPAP mask. This heat therapy technique, also known as radiofrequency ablation, directs and targets small amounts of temperature-controlled energy to the tongue base at the back of the throat. Shortly thereafter, the area that was treated heals, thereby shrinking the excess tissue that can cause sleep apnea. Join the Sleep Apnea Institute Seminar:

Where: 2001 Mallory Lane, Suite 302, Franklin, TN 37067
